At just 19 years old, Alex Green is emerging as one of the most exciting young fast-bowling prospects in English domestic cricket already making waves at Leicestershire and beyond.

His combination of height, pace and natural movement has marked him out as a player of serious potential. Standing at 6ft 6in and capable of extracting steep bounce even from placid surfaces, Green’s rapid progression from academy standout to senior contender has been one of the most compelling stories of the past year.

From Academy Prospect to Professional

Green’s rise through the Leicestershire pathway has been both swift and deserved. As a youth cricketer, he consistently impressed with his wicket-taking ability, producing standout performances in under-18 competitions and earning selection for England Under-19s in both Youth ODIs and Youth Tests.
