The comeback is on, the Foxes are on the march.... was what I wrote at the end of the third set of games in this year's Vitality T20 Blast competition.
Fast forward to the end of the fourth set of games and barring a complete whitewash of wins and a very hefty turnaround of net run rate, then the Foxes will not make the latter stages of this year's competition, a sixth straight year.
As with the feeling down at Grace Road this season, its all gone rather flat in the competition and granted they have come up against teams stacked with class and hitting their straps at the right time.
Friday night they were easily beaten by a star-studded Lancashire side featuring the likes of Jos Buttler, Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone, whilst on Sunday afternoon, George Munsey and George Linde put the Foxes to the sword.
