FOXES POWER RANKINGS: Who's Hot and Who's Not for the Foxes 2026 T20 Blast Campaign

The Foxes began their T20 Blast season at home to Worcestershire Rapids where a poor bowling performance and a strange chase that had little impetus or intent left a subdued crowd wondering what happened.

Then came a trip to Durham where for all intents and purposes, Leicestershire were dismantled by a side featuring many former Foxes and knew how to concoct a full performance.

During this T20 Blast campaign, rather than the same old match preview and reports, we're switching it up with the Foxes Power Rankings, where we rank each player that has featured in the line-up for the Foxes and see who is making an impact and who needs a break.

Some players are exactly where you expected them to be. Others have exploded into form out of nowhere. And a couple of big names are still searching for rhythm.

These rankings aren’t purely based on stats — they’re about impact. Who feels dangerous every game? Who changes matches? Who’s becoming essential to this Foxes side?

Here’s the latest Power Rankings heading into the next Blast block.

11.) Josh Hull

We are really seeing little in the form of Josh Hull that suggests he'll be anywhere near an England radar, he's gone completely off the boil. We all know he was a raw talent and there are still elements of that in him but we're just not seeing enough improvements and its time that he is taken out of the firing line and work on the training pitch needs to be done with him. His figures of 1-75 off 5 overs says it all.

10.) Rishi Patel

It's not been the best of starts for Rishi Patel and the question I have to ask is whether moving him away from the openers role has had an effect mentally. One of the good things about Leicestershire over the past couple of seasons has been the partnership between Budinger and Patel at the top of the order and its been split up in all formats and the selection looks confused and is clearly not helping.

9.) Ben Mike

One of the things that Ben Mike gives you is wickets, he may go around the park at times but he has bowled fairly consistently and picked up three wickets and was one that didn't get dismantled at Durham. His first ball duck sees him in at 9 but it was close between him and Stevie Eskinazi and it was a flip of a coin. More of the same with the ball and lower order contributions will see his stock rise.

8.) Stevie Eskinazi

This is another confusing positioning in the order, though I do know that Eskinazi has often moved up in the order in the shorter format. However, it's not quite worked with scores of 9 and 6 and so the sensible thing to do here is go back to the tried and tested middle order and move Rishi Patel back up to the openers slot because it hasn't worked.

7.) Josh Davey

This is just a middle of the road position, he's in there, he's bowling OK but nothing is really quite clicking as yet but likewise, he's not doing massive amounts wrong. Davey came in from Somerset on a long contract and yes he's had injuries that have niggled him but I want to see more from him because as yet, does he get a place above Tom Scriven for any reason? More needed!

6.) Sol Budinger

It's been a stop start season for Budinger in all formats, the opening game just screamed that he was rusty. He just couldn;t get going with any impetus and in the end forced it and got out. Sunday was better from the aggressive left-hander where he hit a good 40 and he only needs one game to really get himself going so I expect to see him move up these rankings.

5.) Ashton Turner

Another who has looked good to date without standing out enough. This is a good signing for the Foxes and i'd like to see him take more of a lead like he does with the Perth Scorchers in the BBL. He's looked good with starts before getting out and now we just want to see more from the Aussie and for him to make a really stand out impact.

4.) Ben Green

We've lost both games, looked poor, yet I'm not putting that blame on the new captain of the Foxes in the shorter format. I think he's rotated his bowlers well, he stood up as the key bowler in the first game and then had a bit of a mare at Durham like most of the rest of the team. Am I being too generous here, that's for you to decide but he's doing OK and now I really want to see him stamp some authority on this team.

3.) Liam Trevaskis

The left-hander continues to be one of the most consistent white-ball players in the Foxes squad, he often gets wickets and against Durham, he really shone as the most likely to take wickets and was able to stem the flow of runs. He's good in the field and can contribute with the bat and so he's earns his place in the top 3, now he needs to continue it to stay there.

2.) Ben Cox

We've seen Ben Cox really grow into his role at Leicestershire over the past two years and his performance on Friday against Worcestershire Rapids where he hit a decent 51 off 32 balls, was a timely to reminder to us and them that he is a quality player and a very decent gloveman. His actual glove work is underrated and he got a decent ball against Durham, so his place at 2 is a lock.

1.) Nick Kelly

The New Zealander has come into the Foxes line-up this year and slotted pretty well with a well-made 61 against the Rapids, where he tried to claw the game back, though the damage was largely already done. Then a 29 on Sunday was another good start, though his dismissal wasn't ideal. That being said, this game is about innovation and risk taking so no issues there. Can he stay at #1?

Final Thoughts

This Foxes side still feels unpredictable — and that’s how it has felt all season. There are too many players scratching for some form and we've got a few on the sidelines who should be knocking on the coaches door now asking for a chance.

There must be some internal talk on both Alex Green and Ian Holland getting a gig sometime soon and we certainly miss Rehan Ahmed in the middle-order too. We need to see a little bit of a reaction and soon from the Foxes because losing regularly does have an effect and the rot needs to stop.

It's all to play for still with the Foxes, and we've got Derbyshire Falcons on Wednesday, before a trip too Lancashire on Friday. And the best part? These rankings will hopefully look completely different in two weeks.
