The Foxes enjoyed a welcome visit to the capital as they earned a draw against title favourites Surrey at the Oval, where for much of the contest, they were much the better side.

In what can clearly be described as a Road, there were over 1400 runs scored across three innings at The Oval, with the Foxes hitting a mammoth 691 in their only innings of the game, with three centurions in Rishi Patel, Ben Cox and Stevie Eskinazi, building up a lead of 171 against their illustrious opponents.

Surrey comfortably saw out the final day with the bat, however, it was the Foxes that will take the plaudits from the game, knowing that they can compete against the best in Division One putting their poor start against Sussex behind them from the previous week.
