The Foxes Women begin their season tomorrow (Sunday 12th April) with a One Day Cup encounter against the Sussex Sharks.
The game will present a tough challenge for Rebecca Brooker’s team who finished last year’s campaign directly below the Sharks in eighth position.
As Andy Moore detailed earlier this week, 2026 is more about performances than results for the team who struggled to bat out their full quota of overs last season and Sunday’s game represents a great chance to put out a strong performance and send a message to the other Tier 2 sides.
When the two sides met in Arundel in August last year, half centuries from Brooker and Prisha Thanawala were not enough to chase down Sussex’s total of 272 as the Foxes fell 56 runs short.
