Leicestershire Club Captain Peter Handscomb will miss the 2026 season due to family commitments in a huge blow to the Foxes on the eve of the County Championship season.
The Australian skipper has been a huge part of the Foxes renaissance that saw them return to Division One for the first time in over 20 years and his loss will not only be a huge loss to their run scoring department but also for his leadership and experience.
Handscomb told the Official Leicestershire website "It’s difficult to miss the season, but family must take priority. I’m grateful for the club’s understanding and support.
