At the start of pre-season, Sol Budinger looked unstoppable, he was one of Leicestershire’s standout performers during the early pre-season matches. There was a sense that this was going to be the season where he established himself as one of the Foxes’ key players across all formats.
Instead, the exact opposite has happened.
Budinger has drifted in and out of the side, appeared short of confidence, and now finds himself in the strange position of seemingly being overlooked despite often outperforming some of the players being picked ahead of him.
